本歌詞靈感來自於朋友的愛情故事。 在朋友歷經愛情上的挫折、復合又分手的過程，我從中得到創作的靈感。 整首歌內容大致陳述當情侶的其中一方提出分手，而對方無法接受，執著於放不下的感情，奮力懇求復合。
起初，提出分手的女孩無法看清兩人在相處時已非平等。 男孩已將女孩對他的好視為理所當然、不知感恩，更得寸進尺，而女孩卻始終容忍著對方荒唐的途徑。 在經歷一些事情之後，女孩終於看清也已釋懷，發現自己過去是如此盲目，進而提出分手。
男孩在失去後才力求復合，女孩的心卻已不復在。女孩終於決心結束這段感情，開始尋找真正屬於自己的幸福。
