Copycat

在創作《Copycat》這首歌時，我不想寫一首充滿憤怒控訴的歌。我想做的，是化身為一隻優雅、慵懶，卻又擁有鋒利爪子的貓，用一種極度輕蔑的姿態，去戲耍那些只會模仿、偷竊創意的“抄襲貓”。這首歌的靈魂，就藏在那聲反覆出現的“Meow”裡，那不是貓咪的叫聲，那是我對這些模仿者，發出的最不屑的嘲諷。

這首歌的每一個字，都在為“貓”這個核心意象服務。我將對手的沾沾自喜，描繪成滿足的“咕嚕聲 (purred)”；將他們的攻擊，形容為“在圍堵我們時，磨利了爪子”。Bridge裡的那句「你偷走獵物，偷走戰利品 / 你拿走奶油，喝到飽」，更是將抄襲者的行為，與貓偷食的畫面，進行了一次最惡毒也最貼切的連結。我希望用這種方式，去剝掉抄襲者那身華麗的外衣，讓聽眾看到他們那貪婪、毫無創造力的本質。

最終，這首歌從一場貓捉老鼠的遊戲，昇華為一次充滿宿命感的審判。Chorus裡那句“直到你摔落的那一天 / 你永遠都只會是那個被拋在後面的人”，是我給予所有“Copycat”的最終判決。而結尾那句“只是一隻貓的… 一個複製品的… 一個複製品”，則是我對他們最徹底的定義。謹以此歌，獻給所有原創者，也獻給那些仍在黑暗中，試圖將別人的皮膚，當作自己王冠的“抄襲貓”們。遊戲結束了。Meow。
