上個世紀 60 年代，英國倫敦街頭出現「搖擺倫敦 (Swinging London)」的亞文化，後來也用 Swinging Sixties 稱這個率領英國成為世界青少年文化中心的躁動年代。

在 BBC 2018 年的一則新聞裡，當一位經歷過 60 年代的攝影師被問及「過了半世紀，我們可以從 Swinging Sixties 身上學到什麼？」，他的回答是「Give youth a chance. (給年輕人一個機會)」，一個願意聆聽年輕聲音的機會。
