狩獵

狩獵是鄒族世代相傳的傳統文化，在鄒族傳統文化中，狩獵有相當多的禁忌與規範。歌詞中提到許多地名，每個獵人都必須非常清楚自家及各家家族的獵場，誤入其他氏族獵場狩獵是非常嚴重的事情。歌詞中還提到鄒族的占卜鳥：繡眼畫眉，在打獵之前，獵人必須聽繡眼畫眉的叫聲，若聽到不祥的徵兆，當日便取消狩獵的行動。歌詞的最後一段，是獵人行獵時，經過以前古部落的舊址，獵人遙想古時候部落的面貌與生活情景，彷彿聽見祖先們在呼喚著他。
