這首大國Gordon Tseng詩集中的英文四行詩原是針對美國人寫的，red boy指印第安男孩。在寫成歌曲時，為了更能反映近代歷史上強勢文化與弱勢文化之間關係的普遍現象，便將結尾改成了：

The answer has been there since they tried to educate the locally foreign uncivilized boy.
