☆《GRADIENTS》以「漸層」為主題，如同專輯封面所拍下的夕陽光影緩緩推移，以六首私密創作描繪情緒的起伏與深度，靜靜展現內斂而豐富的心緒流動。

Cait Lin 凱琳，來自澳洲、現居臺北。作為一位父母分別來自澳洲和臺灣的混血兒，從小便吸收了兩地不同的文化，她也曾短暫在臺灣就學，這使她對臺灣文化有了更深一層的連結。音樂，則成為她在異地求學時重要的心靈依靠。而後，隨著父母工作
回到澳洲，並在大學主修爵士聲樂。七年前，Cait Lin 凱琳選擇移居臺北，並在此開始發展自己的音樂事業。

作為一位專業演出歌手，Cait Lin 凱琳擅長駕馭多元風格，穿梭於流行、爵士與靈魂樂之間。她曾在爵士 Live House 擔任駐唱，自 2019 年起擔任 ICRT 平日下午時段 DJ，持續推廣來自世界各地的音樂。在日復一日播歌與訪談音樂人的過程裡，Cait Lin 凱琳 亦逐漸意識到，那股對創作的渴望從未熄滅，她於是開始傾聽自己、整理過往作品，重拾起寫歌的狀態，最終完成了一張迷你創作專輯。

作為專輯標題，《GRADIENTS》點出了她的創作核心。Cait Lin 凱琳發覺自己，每當內心感觸難以言說時，她總會替它選擇一種顏色，再譜寫成一首歌。她因而想以這些音樂描繪藏在人心深處、難以捉摸的情緒變化，那些屬於感受與感受之間的「漸層」。

整張專輯雖是全以英文創作，卻緊緊承載著兩種語言的重量，包括來自臺灣的溫柔，以及來自澳洲的坦率。這樣的創作視角，更如實呼應著她的身份與生命經驗，身為混血、多語、跨文化的創作者，Cait Lin 凱琳本身是一種獨特的「漸層」存在。

就像人的感受從來不是非黑即白，而是如同光影交錯般的流動。《GRADIENTS》想傳遞的是一股重新上色的力量，即便世界會因為某些原因而失去色彩，每個人依然能用自己的筆觸，繪出新的層次與光景。

開場曲〈PEACE & LOVE〉象徵「柔軟中帶著力量」的狀態，由 Kay “Kojo” Ansah 製作，這首歌在爵士基底中融入老電影取樣，保有節奏感與從容自信，彷彿一種內在聲音輕聲說：「是的，我經歷了一些事，但我依然站在這裡，仍然閃閃發光。」它更為《GRADIENTS》定調，奠定整張專輯柔和中帶著銳利的氣質。
