A song about longing for land that was never returned. Billy's grandfather sold the family's indigenous land for almost nothing — it sits abandoned to this day. What starts as a personal family story becomes something larger: a groove-driven cry for land justice shared by indigenous peoples across Taiwan. The typhoon in the chorus isn't just weather — it's the sound of a people gathering force.
Note: In the third verse, the narrator confronts "Mr. Hong" — the person who took the land. The name Hong (洪) is Billy's own surname, a deliberate irony woven into the song: the land was lost somewhere within the family itself, and the demand for its return turns inward as much as outward.

Yeah Yeah Yeah

I want a piece of land, I want a piece of land, to do things my own way
I won't spray pesticides, because this food is for my family
Dig the earth with both hands, the earth is what created you
I built a little wooden cabin, the typhoon blew it down
The typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, yeah the typhoon's coming
The typhoon's coming, yeah the typhoon's coming, blowing me down, blowing me down
I want a piece of land, I want a piece of land, doesn't need to be too big
I'll trade you for what I don't have, the vegetables I grow are just this healthy
Just this, this healthy, just this healthy
Just this healthy, just this healthy
The typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, blowing me down
The typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, blowing me down
Mr. Hong, a very, very long time ago
You took my land, took my land, right out of my hands
Your land must be returned to me, returned to me, returned to me, returned to me
The typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, blowing me down
The typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, the typhoon's coming, blowing me down
Yeah yeah yeah, blow me down, yeah yeah yeah
