Let me show you in a parable
讓我來告訴妳一個預言
To what extent our nature is enlightened or unenlightened
看看我們的本性已啟發或閉塞到什麼程度

我從小 就和伙伴們生活在洞穴裡
從早到晚不分晝夜都是黑當背景
像是天生註定 彼此坐在附近
才剛脫離母體身軀就被手銬腳鐐固定
在裡面 不在乎時間幾點
感官認知受限 連帶視野範圍也被侷限
在這地點 尚未意識到這是悲 劇的起點
只向前方看的日子無期限重複第幾遍
我依然駐足在這 我的認知、
我被賦予的那一切依舊是我愛的
不論過了幾年 是現在或是以前
身後火堆閃耀的光芒像萬物起源
我學習所有事物透過眼前投影
了解萬物定義來龍去脈因為所以
這邏輯 看似規律一切照著它走
直到有天當我走出洞穴解開枷鎖
突然 一道道強光 打進視野 讓我暈眩
看清世界各種聲音傳到耳裡讓我聽見
太新鮮 在今天可以盡情奔放
實際物體就在眼前 原來這些才是真相
我突然想到我的同伴還被困在洞穴
毫無自知這是一場夢魘 認知全部受限
於投影般 的欺騙 一騙就是好幾年不知騙了幾遍 的騙局
裡面其實都在騙你

Do you see men passing along the wall
你有看到這些人沿著牆邊走動嗎
Carrying all sorts of articles which they hold projected above the wall
他們舉著各種木偶投影到對面牆上
They would only see the shadows
洞穴的人們只能看見投影
To them, the truth would be literally nothing but the shadows of the images
對他們來說 牆上的影子就是他們所知的真相
Would he not think that the shadows, which he formerly saw are truer than the objects which are now shown to him?
他會認為之前看到的影子比這些擺在眼前的東西更加真實嗎
Do you not suppose that he would bless himself for the chang?
你覺得他會不會感激自己有了這些變化
Pity them?
或替他的同伴感到惋惜?
To them, the truth would be literally nothing but the shadows of the images
對他們來說 牆上的影子就是他們所知的真相

我回到洞穴拯救 處在水深火 熱的他們掙脫
每個人都 承受的痛苦 自己為何活 了
這麼多年 被蒙在鼓裡 傀儡一般 失去主體
看清真相的瞬間心情彷彿跌落谷底
我在背後望著他們依舊 日復
一日 看著前方牆上影子學習事物
一次又一次的被欺騙我想此時此刻就差我
向前幫助他們從 此徹底掙脫 解開枷鎖
但是 當我越是靠近他們越是發火
大聲怒斥著我 說這一切不需要我插手
指著牆上的投影要我現在馬上
回來洞穴 說那些和影子牴觸的實體全是假象
他們勸我現在勢必
回頭是岸自己別再恣意 跑出洞穴毀損視力
若再執意 帶他們離開洞穴這不切實際
的地方他們將會把我置於死地

到死的那一刻還沒掙開束縛
被欺騙了一輩子到你入土
當我試著解救 灌輸他們新的看法
換 來的卻是瘋子、邪教、毒販的謾罵

Wouldn’t they all laugh at him and say he had spoiled his eyesight by going up there?
他的同伴們會不會嘲笑他隨便跑出洞穴毀損自己的視力?
It was better not to even think of ascending?
或揶揄著說不要想著出去的事比較好?
And if anyone tried to release another and lead him up to the light
如果有人想釋放他們 帶他們去看事實真相
Let them catch the offender, and they would put him to death
他們會抓住那個人 然後置他於死
