but quit before I start?

I don't think so.

No shortcut, no favors, no guarantee,
just a vision in my head and the work in front of me.
You can judge my beginning,
you can laugh at the road,
but don't use where I started
to decide where I go.

I'm saying every time life tells me “no,”

If I want that life, gotta build that shit,
brick by brick till the pieces all fit.

Yeah, maybe I'm stubborn.
Maybe I'm crazy.
Maybe I took this further than anybody made me.

But I'd rather lose chasing something I chose
than spend my whole life wondering how far I could go.

So keep the doubt.
Keep telling me “no.”
Keep telling me dreams don't pay what I owe.

I heard every word.
I remember it all.

I just ain't got the numbers
to answer you all.
