在陽明山二子坪步道，我看見一個伯伯。
微胖，白色捲髮，白鬍子。草帽沒有戴，掛在後頸。身上是一件米白色的亞麻長襯衫，黑色及膝短褲，褲頭反折著，紅黑相間的 Y 字吊帶從肩上繞下去。
他穿白色長襪，襪口有紅、白、藍三道橫紋，腳上一雙深棕色皮靴。
然後是一把木吉他。
沒有琴袋。
就這樣裸著背在身後。背帶是祖靈之眼那種菱形圖騰，紅的、黑的、白的，在木頭色的琴身旁非常醒目。
他從我前面幾步的地方橫過步道。
我原本只是看著。
他忽然轉過頭。
粗黑框眼鏡。
我愣住了。
我們當然不認識。
可是那張臉，那個身形，那個走路的樣子，甚至那種背著吉他、好像也沒有特別要去哪裡的神情，都讓我覺得，我好像在哪裡見過他。
不是我爸。
完全不像我爸。
比較像二十年後的我。
我有一點想叫住他。

實際上當天我們沒有對話，也沒有坐下來一起唱歌。他應該更明白自己二十年前的模樣，我們真的很驚訝的互看了一陣。當時二個人的反應一點都不像我的習性：要是遇到很久不見的老朋友，肯定是撲過去抱的，是老克非的話，臉也要親的。但一時竟然都開不了口沒打個招呼。
整天，一直到晚上，我還在想，如果沒有遇到我，他帶吉他去山上是為了唱什麼歌？既然遇到我了，他後來想唱什麼歌？嗯，不知道。Down By the Riverside 的旋律跑進來，嗯，那用我自己寫的 Riverside。
下次遇到，還有另一首也一定要唱的：My Favorite Things

我們大概會唱一整個下午，
最後把吉他丟著，到崖邊對著山谷對著星空，
