“Make No Mistake” takes the EP into darker emotional territory, confronting loneliness, hurt, and the struggle to come to terms with the damage another person left behind, yet with a cheery musical mood by contrast.
Originally written as a submission song that could’ve earned the band the opportunity to use the song as a jingle for a renowned chocolate brand, the reimagined version gives that emotional weight a contemporary
electronic setting, allowing the tension within the songwriting to breathe rather than softening its darker edges.
Trapped
In a car
Split in half
By a snow plough
Can’t
Help wondering
How it would be
With you
Make no mistake
I’m still here all alone
And trying
To cope with all that you have ever done
To hurt me
Please
Stop right there
I wouldn’t want
To stain you
Be
All you want
And you just dream
All you want
But you’d still never care
For us
Make no mistake
I’m still here all alone
And trying
To cope with all that you have ever done
To hurt me
Make no mistake
I’m still here all alone
Make no mistake
I’m still here all alone
And trying
To cope with all that you have ever done
To hurt me
