04 See You Again

See You Again is an original composition I wrote during fall 2014 semester for my graduate album. This piece is influenced by playing in the UCO Latin Band this semester. Originally, this tune was supposed to be like a New – Age style tune. However, after I tried to play with Afro-Cuban (Bembe) in this tune, I feel it’s better than New – Age. The intro is played by Bass and piano, and the percussion comes in the second repeat. This leads into the melody. The Soprano Saxophone plays the melody through out the entire form of the A B A form. piano and the bass continue playing the pattern. In the bridge, the percussion improvises lightly to improve the groove.
