As usual, Beethoven's late compositions are unpredicable. This work contains Beethoven's inner suffering and heroic ideas. The first mvt. is the most lyrical and beautiful in this entire piece. Watch out the first and last phrases of this mvt., Beethoven already pointed out the melody of the two fugues in the last mvt.
