World Grown Cold

这首歌最初是杜昆先生2005年创作的一首未完成demo，一直没有歌词，直到他读到了匈牙利诗人亚诺什·皮林茨基(János Pilinszky, 1921-1981）的诗“World Grown Cold”。巧合的是诗中的意境同时也与杜昆先生早期暗黑末世风格的油画不谋而合，于是他将自己的相关巨幅油画搬上舞台大屏，为观众准备了一场视听盛宴。

This world is not my world.
Merely my body's compulsion
as I worm, like a maggot,
deeper and deeper into its bowels.
So I feed on death,
and so death too gets his fill of me.
And my life——not mine for a long time now——
fattens on my heart like a tumour.
This is how the refuse crops out
from every creature living,
once he has been chastened, and gladly
casts off vain shame.
And this is how the eternally unknowable
gets its homely look.
As with the leaves in their withering,
my decay embalms me.
It is a chilled world, a no-man's-land.
And like scrap iron thrown over the top
our hopes
the stars loom dead.
