〈why not we go to bed〉在整張專輯《analog boy》中，扮演著後半張最私密、也最寂寞的「深夜耽溺」時刻。

在經歷了 Track 6〈記憶把昨天寫成小說〉殘酷的自我剖析與精神驚悚後，主角的身心已經疲憊到了極點。這首歌就像是一盞在凌晨 2:17 亮起的藍光螢幕，照亮了現代人無法入眠、只能在冷光中尋求溫存的生理與心理狀態。「我不是不想睡，只是還想聽你多說一句。」這是一場在深夜與手機螢幕另一端進行的「虛擬博弈」。主角一邊試圖說服彼此去睡覺（Why not we go to bed, say goodnight instead），一邊卻又在靈魂失焦的邊緣，渴望對方的陪伴能一直持續到手機電量耗盡（I'll be here when your battery dies）。

微距 Lo-Fi R&B / Alternative R&B，帶有強烈的空間包裹感，歌曲開頭由極具包裹感的溫暖低沉 Synth Pad 與溫暖的 Lofi 鼓組鋪底。analog bow安落一進來，用極度貼耳、帶著微弱「喉音顆粒」的嗓音，唱出「窗外的雨 / 落得有點慢」。那個乾淨且靠近的低音，瞬間將聽眾拉進了那間亮著藍光的深夜臥室。

在副歌之後，背景交織著像催眠一樣、不斷重覆的 "Go to bed / Stay awake"。此時背景突然切入一聲冷靜卻帶著警示感的口白："You are losing focus"（你正在失去焦點）。這段極具精神分裂感的設計，完美重現了熬夜時大腦因為極度疲憊而產生的幻聽與重影感。

在經歷了瘋狂的失焦與 Breakdown 後，Bridge 「我不需承諾 / 我不需信號」 溫暖地滑了進來。這段的 Vocal 極其放鬆且Laid-back，像是終於在清晨來臨前卸下了防備，達成了短暫的平靜。
