Everyone has a trace of flash fiction in their heart.
What felt like forever was but a passing shadow.
What seemed so broken is, in hindsight,
the only melody that still makes the heart ache with joy.

Like a leaf upon the stream
It writes of all my lingering cares
It carries all my deepest longing

The warmth of flush upon my face
Echoing my foolish heart

Youth we thought was evermore
Falling into rivers far
Vanish from our misty eyes
In a blink...
We are all grown up now
