Antti Kokkomäki & Tammikuun Lapset is the indie pop project of Finland-based singer-songwriter Antti Kokkomäki, where personal stories and Nordic melancholy meet strong pop melodies.

The project began in 2011 following a tragedy: Kokkomäki’s uncle, an important musical role model for him, died as a result of violence. After his death, a box of poems was found in his apartment, including one titled Tammikuun lapsi. When these words met Kokkomäki’s unfinished composition, the song was born – and with it, the name of the project.

Kokkomäki has also performed in Taiwan. In 2014, he played the song Pieni kivi kengässä at the Legislative Yuan during the Sunflower protests. The televised performance was also shown outside the parliament to the protesting public and later led to bookings, including the Spring Scream festival.

A new single “Me sinua kaivataan” will be released on April 10th 2026!
