RECALL
To recall is a form of summoning, the past being called to the present within thought through memory. Two distant points connect. But the connection inherently begs a paradox of sorts. The past touches, but cannot be touched. The present is felt in fury, but falls without hesitation somewhere beyond, repeated ceaselessly. To recall then becomes to summon that which is felt and even seen, but not held or touched. It is to invite a ghost, that same phantasm roaming the empty rooms of our hearts and heavy minds.

What is held within recall?

What is found?

And what is there to be left from the specter standing before oneself?

What do we respond to questions posed that we struggle to answer, let alone speak through the ruin?

This album is the result of contact and continued collaboration between Green Horizon and Corey Best, each isolated on their own ends of the globe while wrestling with the wreckage washed upon each shore. With both of their lives unknowingly running parallel in many ways, the sounds and themes of the album immediately coalesce into a very cutting and weighted series of dialogs between each other that carries seamlessly throughout.

Regardless the conclusion of recall, the testament through action is indisputable:

We don’t have to face the void alone.

We don’t have to remember alone.
