21st Century Girl is about my experience of growing into myself as a woman in this generation. It explores all the different sides of me: the confident side, the sensitive side, the ambitious side, the hurt side, and the side that is still healing.
I wanted the EP to feel honest because being a 21st Century Girl is not just one thing. We can be strong and vulnerable, feminine and aggressive, hopeful and confused, all at the same time.
The project ranges from R&B, neo-soul, jazz, trap, grunge rock, to gospel.
For me, 21st Century Girl is about accepting every version of myself instead of feeling like I have to choose only one.
