Palm trees from west and southwest Africa were planted by the British. As time progressed, they expanded like a plague, covering the plains and hills. Fueled by the greed of man, this foreign species is pushing the native rainforest to the edge of extinction. The irrigation of chemical drugs kills the fertile land, poisons the insects, kills the birds and animals that feed on them, and takes away the land protected by the ancestors of the people of this land.
