Aek Wild Sax is a project , or Aekchai Tepraksa, a talented saxophonist from Chiang Mai who collaborated and recorded with numerous artists. Known for his vibrant performances, he constantly jammed with musicians from Chiang Mai and beyond.
In recent years, Aek began composing his own music, creating demos that included both instrumental and vocal tracks. His instrumental pieces were even performed with the band Doggy during their tour in China.
Aek released a studio version of one of his songs, "Thanksgiving swing," before performing at Pai Blues Jazz 2023. Tragically, in August 2023, Aek passed away in an accident.
In 2024, the remaining members of the project decided to honor Aek’s legacy by completing and sharing the unfinished works he left behind. They aim to bring his music to life in studio recordings and live performances, introducing Aek’s artistry to both those who miss him and those who have yet to discover his unique sound.
