Wait For It is an original composition I wrote for my graduate album during fall 2014 semester. Recently I started listening to Roy Hargrove, and this new composition is influenced by Hargrove’s album Earfood, particularly the tune, I'm Not So Sure. The intro is played twice by the bass, piano and drums. The trumpet plays the melody throughout the entire A B C form. During the melody, the alto saxophone harmonizes with the trumpet, sometimes playing in unison.
